03.branding
A brand identity is much more than a logo and letterhead. It's a narrative and an image. It's an answer to the question, "Who are you?" When we set out to develop your brand identity, we begin with your core stories and principles. We then build a consistent visual presence, tone, and strategy that emerge from that core. Our goal is to make your messages engaging and memorable.

  • Identity for a New York-based consulting company. rise commissioned us to build their brand from the ground up. Alongside a logo, we devised a dynamic 'highlighter' system that can be used in a never-ending combination of ways enabling the team to keep an always-changing variety of objects, charts, manuals, posters, and handouts visually exciting.

A stationery set (business cards, thank you cards) and a splash page were designed to start their brand off in the right direction.

  • The Australian-based company CollaborativeConsumption.com, the comprehensive online resource and network for the new sharing economy and community worldwide, commissioned us to completely overhaul their brand. Alongside a new marque, we designed a strong but friendly identity with a full stationary set, business cards, and a website with an extensive client-side CMS system to allow the client to provide a wide variety of updates on the state of the sharing economy around the world.

  • Our friends at The Inspirat10n Institute contacted us about creating an identity and website for their project: inspiring business professionals with ways to keep creativity and energy flowing in the workplace though simple lists. We constructed a logo taking its cue from the ten items in each list, and then built them a website to allow busy professionals to browse and read lists quickly and pleasantly on any device.

  • For a video site created to showcase the work of video artist Amy Globus, we built off the theme of repetition that often occurs in her work. The site features cyclical and interesting but usable navigation, and a prominent display of what's most important: the work.

  • After a few years of operating on word-of-mouth thanks to our lovely friends and clients, we decided to do a little update here at KINKY&Co. We tweaked our logo and identity, and created some new business cards and notebooks to share, while taking our site from a jpeg holding page to a responsive design that works everywhere from phones to 30" iMacs, and features a pretty sweet (if we say so ourselves) custom icon set.
